Quote follow-up

When a proposal goes quiet, draft one specific nudge — not a three-week drip that ignores the fact they already said 'not now.'

When to use

Use this when proposals leave the building and nobody checks whether they got a reply. Do not use this as a generic outbound sequence.

Prerequisites

  • Quotes / proposals live in one place with a sent date and a contact
  • CRM hygiene is running so you're not nudging a dead or duplicate record
  • A human who sends the nudge

# Quote follow-up

## Flow

1. Pull proposals with status sent, sent-at older than the wait window (default 5 business days), no reply logged.
2. Skip: declined, paused, won, lost, or a CRM note from this week.
3. Skip if the contact inbound-ed about something else — route that thread to the owner instead.
4. Draft one nudge: name the proposal, name the open question (scope, start date, or "is this still useful"), one way to answer.
5. Create an owner task if this is already the second silence. Do not draft a third email.

## Wait window

Default 5 business days. Shorter for small quotes, longer for anything that needs a committee. The owner sets this per pipeline, not the skill.

## Safeguards

- Never send without a human confirm.
- Never start a 4-email drip.
- Never change quote totals, discounts, or expiry dates.
- Never follow up a proposal whose contact bounced — that's hygiene.

## Example draft

```
Subject: Re: June proposal — still the right shape?
Hi Priya — checking whether the June proposal is still the right
shape, or whether scope moved. If it's a no or a not-now, that's
useful too — I won't keep pinging.
```

## Add it to your agent

Read this file and follow the instructions. List last month's silent proposals as a table before you draft anything to a live contact.
Still ungated. Page stays short until you ask.

Common questions

How many follow-ups?

One from the skill, then a task for the owner. Sequences that ignore 'not now' are how you burn a relationship.

Should this rewrite the proposal?

No. If the quote was wrong, that's a human job. This skill only notices silence.
